Are you talking yourself out of who God is calling you to be?

I’m not a speaker

Nor do I desire to be one.

Well, that’s not entirely true. I do want to effectively speak my testimony to others.

So why does the Lord keep guiding me into those spaces?

I go feeling unqualified, uncomfortable, and unprepared no matter how much I prepare.

Then… I speak…

Why? Because I’m obedient.

And something miraculous happens.

God speaks through me.

I didn’t want to write my life story and all the salacious details.

But I did.

Why? Because I’m obedient.

I would be separated or even divorced for the second time had God not intervened, telling me that He will work things out for good.

I kicked and screamed because I was tired and I didn’t want to try anymore.

We received Godly counsel, therapy and a mighty move of God on us individually and collectively.

Why? Because I am obedient.

God is wise because in my obedience He mended areas that we didn’t know were broken.

My life is not my own.

You who follow me and see me conquering and overcoming challenges see God. You see His strength, grace, and mercy in my life.

You see His unchanging hand.

I am who God says I am, and I go where He tells me to go until He calls me home.

Am I a speaker? Yes. I speak every day in one form or another encouraging others.

Am I a writer? Absolutely. I write to inform, inspire, and heal, you and me.

Am I a wife? You bet! And marriage can be challenging, but with honesty, mutual respect, and a willingness to hear each other out, we are doing well. I am thankful for our challenges and our ability with God to overcome them.

What am I saying to you?

Stay the course. Trust God who sits on high and looks down low. Trust God who knows the end from the beginning. Trust God with your ” yes” even if you don’t know the next move.

This is a faith walk.

I am a former full-time hairstylist who, because the Lord said to leave and close my salon, is now an Author, Coach, and Publisher. Not to mention an anointed vessel of the Most High God.

Who are you saying you are not?

My life is based on this scripture:

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28

‭‭

I didn’t know while in the thick of my mess that it would work out for good.

That when I was abused and attacked that it would work out for good.

That the subsequent events that took place after my childhood sexual abuse would work out for good.

What are you going through? What have you overcome?

Do you see God’s hand in your life?

Do you see that many things have worked out for good?

I stopped saying what I am not.

I want you to do the same.

You are who God says you are.

Live your life, taking it one day at a time. Take time for yourself. Give yourself breaks during the day to stop and take deep breaths and center yourself. In doing so, you’ll regain focus and clarity.

Talk to God daily.

Be kind to yourself.

Speak positive affirmations over yourself daily.  They do work.

You are human and no matter what you do, you can never be righteous enough. You can dot your i’s and cross your t’s but your “u” will be crooked. You hear me?

You know what’s funny? Faith works. Whatever you believe in, right or wrong, is what you will see. If you keep believing and speaking your belief, you’ll see a manifestation. Not just what you say but what you BELIEVE and EXPECT… faith is the substance of things HOPED for and the EVIDENCE of things UNSEEN.

Then He touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith let it be to you.”
Matthew 9:29

There is a plan for your life, and you’ll notice the gifts God placed in you being stirred up. You’ll start doing things you didn’t know you could do and being who you didn’t think you could be. It’s amazing.

Keep walking, living, loving and learning. Don’t be anxious. He has you.

Don’t let fear of the unknown stop you. Do it scared. Where God guides, He provides. He will provide resources, confirmation, peace, opportunities, and more.

I encourage you to keep moving forward in your journey. God may ask you to pivot into a totally different career but keep in mind that He knows all things. He wants your “yes.” He wants to know that you trust Him to lead and guide you. He’s a good Father.

Go where He says go. Sit when He says sit.

Be obedient

It’s better than sacrifice.

And Samuel said, Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.

1 Samuel 15:22
